Financial Assistance

Applications for both types of financial support are now closed for the 2026 Meeting

With the generous support of the New Zealand Neurological Foundation, we are delighted to be able to offer two financial assistance schemes in 2026 for students and ECRs* from New Zealand Universities or Research Institutes:

1. A Student/ECR grant-in-aid - to assist students and early-career researchers with travel expenses.

2. A childcare support grant - to help those with child caregiving responsibilities the opportunity to fully participate in the conference.

 

To be considered for Student/ECR Grant-in-aid, you must:

• Be a student or ECR presenting (poster or oral) at AWCBR.

• Be based at a New Zealand Institution.

• Provide a letter of support from your supervisor/mentor.

• Complete the online application form.

To be considered for the Childcare Support, you must:

• Be based at a New Zealand Institution.

• Complete the online application form.

 

*ECR: awarded 2020 onwards, adjusted for career breaks. Your PhD is considered "awarded" when you receive notification that the requirements of your PhD have been met.
